Advanced Advocacy Training

Since 1017, the Global Liver Institute has offered the Advanced Advocacy Academy to train volunteers to effectively advocate for liver health with elected and appointed officials.

Volunteer advocates have been liver patients, family members, caregivers and concerned community members who acquire the information, skills, and opportunities that they need to effectively advocate for liver health.

The 2021 Academy will take place September 21-23 and will be conducted virtually.

Mid South Liver Alliance has the ability to send 2 people from each state to the Academy. Interested volunteers should contact Teresa Davidson at [email protected] 

This year’s program will offer liver patients, caregivers, and professionals the opportunity to learn from experts in the fields of drug development, clinical trials, state and federal legislation, media and communications, and liver health and disease. Students will be immersed in the world of liver health advocacy through a multimedia experience that they can customize to fit their personal learning style and schedule. Live discussions with faculty members will enhance individual learning, foster engagement, and will promote important conversations among the A3 Class of 2021.
