Updates on Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and NASH

OBJECTIVES

  • Review NAFLD disease burden and risk factors
  • Review new screening guidelines for fibrosis in primary care and endocrine practices
  • Review management of cardiovascular risk factors in patients with NAFLD
  • Discuss non-pharmacological options for the treatment of NAFLD
  • Dis pharmacological options for the treatment of NAFLD
  • Discuss pharmacological options for the treatment of NAFLD
  • Discuss treatments and outcomes

The Session will take place In-Person/Hybrid. A very limited seating is available for the In-Person session to be held at the Embassy Suites, Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Embassy Suites Hotel, 2300 Woodcrest PL, Birmingham, AL 35209. The In-Person session includes a complementary dinner and wine. Following the        June 27, 2023, in-person session a recorded version of the presentation will be made available to anyone who is unable to attend. CEU credit is available for the recorded version if completed by the end of July 2023.

The first half-hour will be a networking opportunity followed by  the presentation from Meagan Gray, MD and Fernando Bril, MD. The presentation is expected to last 1 hour and will be followed with a question and answer discussion session. All times are Central Daylight Savings Time.

Q & A will be available at the end of the talk.
